More open road...

I started Friday off with a trip to the southwestern tip of the country. There's a light house posted out on the point where the Southern and Indian oceans meet. The fun part was walking around onthe rocks, which I like to do, and seeing the crabs scurry to the nearest crack to hide. So after Augusta, I thought I'd try to make the town of Albany which is father down the road on the south coast. But first I needed to explore the caves. I looked at 3 caves, all quite different, all very cool. All the guides were hiliarious, but that was mostly the accent. And now I know quite abit about the goings on in a limestone cave. You can test me when I get home, just wait a few days so I can function semi-normally.
Next stop was the town of Pemberton. Had to drive thru endless forest roads, all one lane, no shoulder, and with pretty high speed limits. But, back to Pemberton. The point of this stop was a tree. A specific tree. This tree which I'd try to name but couldn't spell even if it was in front of me, was the area's fire lookout. It stands 200ft, and can be climbed by way of 30 inch rebar sticking out of the trunk. It was insane, but the view was more than worth it (pictures to come) I seem to keep promising pictures, they do exist, I swear, but the computers I keep finding are crap so please be patient. Like you can do anything about it:)
After the tree, more national forests and Albany. A nice little town on the coast. Found some people staying in the same hostel who were in town for a 2 week class, so we ventured over to the pub and watched Andy Roddick lose in the semis. I think it was best though, since I was the only American in the place, could have been ugly, or not.
